SEED, established in 1993, is a non-governmental organization focused on environment, education, health, and social development. It has been actively involved in various areas, including health, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, livelihoods, research, and education. SEED's main focus is on environmental conservation and sustainable natural resource management, while also empowering rural and urban communities. It has played a significant role in providing livelihoods to women through enterprise development programs, promoting nine farmer producer organizations, and implementing watershed projects. Operating across ten districts in Telangana, SEED has outreached to 162 villages and initiated programs like the Safai Surksh Mitra Challenge. It has also conducted awareness campaigns on rainwater conservation and constructed rainwater harvesting structures. SEED has earned recognition as a community-centric organization.
SEED has been implementing various programs with the support of government, private, and CSR agencies, including NABARD, District Agriculture Department/ATMA, ASCI/GHMC, ESCI & HMWS & SB, Dignity Drive Foundation, Juwari Cements, Muthoot M George Foundation, National Green Corps, Umeed Project - UP (Catalyst group), NCLP, and Own Contribution by the Board.
