We are happy to announce our latest initiative, ‘Resilience Café – Conversations with SeedIndia’. We aim to shape our worldview and that of others to arrive at actionable humanitarian interventions to save lives and prevent losses from disasters, now and in the future, through these conversations. Through this platform, we will be talking about marginalised communities, micro and small business enterprises, and migrants but not limit ourselves to just them. We shall engage with affected and at-risk communities, civil society partners, donors, children, and government officials.

Bio Diversity Day

Every year on May 22nd, SEED NGO takes the lead in organizing International Day for Biological Diversity programs with the support of the Telangana State Biodiversity Board. These initiatives aim to strengthen community participation in conserving diverse ecosystems, including:

  • Agro-biodiversity
  • Forest and tank ecosystems
  • Local flora and fauna

Community Showcases and Awareness Drives
  • As part of the celebration, SEED NGO facilitates:
  • Exhibitions and stalls by Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) members, local farmers, and women groups to display native seeds, plants, forest produce, and other local bio-resources
  • Distribution of plant saplings to visitors to encourage plantation and conservation at household and community levels

Key Outcomes
  • Increased awareness among local communities on the importance of biodiversity conservation
  • Revival of local and traditional knowledge on sustainable use of bio-resources
  • Strengthened BMCs and community ownership in protecting natural ecosystems
  • Thousands of saplings distributed each year, contributing to green cover and biodiversity regeneration
  • Women and farmers actively engaged in showcasing and preserving native species

SEED NGO’s consistent efforts on Biodiversity Day have led to enhanced public awareness, active participation, and grassroots-level conservation actions, helping protect Telangana’s rich biological heritage for future generations.
