Horticulture Management & Commercial Vegetable Nursery Raising

  • Provided training for 13 days to 210 women on selecting a suitable location, purchasing nursery materials, tray filling techniques, watering methods, nursery raising and grafting, fruit plants, pandala vegetable growing, stacking, bed preparation, seed selection, and establishment of shade nets.Conducted 7 batches of training with a total of 210 participants. Offered credit support to 52% of participants while facilitating convergence for establishing pandala vegetable growing.
  • Seventy-five percent of women farmers adapted the techniques under horticulture management and commercial vegetable cultivation.
  • Increased income from Rs. 25,000.00 to Rs. 35,000.00 through learned skills.



Livelihood programs under Watershed and Tribal Development Fund projects

  • Focused on women from the poorest of the poor families and landless individuals.
  • Identified families from this demographic and engaged them in petty enterprises through loans, as part of the watershed project's livelihood component.

Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDP)
Basic and Advanced Tailoring

Conducted 2 batches of training in tailoring and embroidery, benefiting a total of 60 women for 15 days each batch. The settlement rate was 67%, with participants adapting these skills for livelihoods.


Forest Nursery Management and Raising Techniques:

Organized 3 batches of 13-day training sessions for 90 women on preparation of beds, seed selection, packet filling, watering, and shifting techniques.Increased monthly income from Rs. 8,000.00 to Rs. 10,000.00 with a settlement rate of 70% and 70% of participants adapting these techniques for livelihoods.Established four forest nurseries and supplied them for Harithaharam.
